Vioxx Litigation

The purveyor of the prescription drug Vioxx, Merck&Co., first issued the voluntary recall of this drug from the market September 30, 2004.  Based on a research heavy investigation concerning the adverse side effects of Vioxx, Merck&Co. has announced that Vioxx might be mainly responsible for heart attacks and sudden cardiac death.

Vioxx is a COX-2 selective nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
